Just Another Day

Our days are organized around numerous small actions we repeat over and over. What’s your favorite daily ritual?

Well, I don’t really have daily rituals, except usual things.

But, I guess going to dailypost.wordpress.com is my favorite daily ritual. I love going to the site and seeing what new prompts await me.

I admit, I don’t always use the daily post. But I really like seeing it. I like to see what the writers at Automattic come up with. And usually, whenever I don’t do the daily prompt, I just don’t like it, or don’t have any ideas for it. One example of this is from a few days ago. I was getting ready to post, but then I decided that I didn’t really like this post. And I also might forget. There was this really good post that I totally forgot to do.

Well, that’s my favorite daily ritual!

A Tale of Two Cities

If you could split your time evenly between two places, and two places only, which would these be?

If I could split my time evenly between two places, those places would be Pittsburgh and Akron. I love how Akron looks, yet I like some of the people in Pittsburgh. The people my parents are friends with are very nice, and I enjoy talking to most of them. But the same goes to the people I know in Ohio, and it just seems like the nature I see in Pittsburgh isn’t as good as the nature I see in Ohio. Maybe I just don’t look in the right places.

But I think it goes beyond nature. Something about Akron just makes me feel better. I enjoy almost everything in Akron, and I REALLY want to live there. I just like how the buildings are there, how the houses are set up, and the restaurants I’ve been to there are amazing. But I think that is because whenever we go to Ohio, we go to nice restaurants because we’re with other people and it’s kind of a special event type of things. We dine at places like Parassons, Cheddars (I don’t think that’s that fancy, just the food is good), and we go to hotels like Carlson’s Country Inns & Suites. I love that hotel, and their breakfast is so great. I love their eggs.

But I guess those types of things can be found in Pittsburgh. I guess I’m just not looking for it.

Saved by the Bell

Tell us about a time when you managed to extract yourself from a sticky situation at the very last minute.

This happened just recently. My friend, Chris, is having some problems with my other friend, Colby, and I, and he tends to argue a lot and complain a lot. Anyways, one day he was arguing with me, saying I act different when I’m with Colby, although I don’t. Anyways, he was saying stuff like that, and both Colby and I were getting upset.

We were about to fight, not physically (we couldn’t, we were talking to each other on the internet), but Chris was yelling and Colby and I were trying to contain our anger. Finally I couldn’t take it anymore. I almost yelled at Chris, but I knew he would be sad and blame himself for everything bad. I simply said, “The stress is too much for me,” left the chat, and that was it. I think he was upset by that, but I also think it was better in the long run.

I guess I could have said something other than that, however I was stressed out at the time, and I was just trying to get away from Chris in a way that wouldn’t say, “You’re totally rude and I don’t want to be around you.” At least that’s not happening anymore.

Going Obsolete

NOTE: This post was from jophnist.wordpress.com and aboynamedsteven.wordpress.com, although I am the owner of those blogs. I just re-uploaded it here, since this will be the site I use for daily prompts.

I don’t like much technology, as much of it seems to be unnecessary and made just so people could do less work. The only technology I would like would be an electric typewriter, or instead, a chromebook, which I’m using to write this post. I would also want something able to play real games that you have to download, and if a chromebook could do that, it would be the only thing I would use.

Anyways, the technology I would miss isn’t necessarily obsolete, just not being made as much as most things. I’m not sure if they are even being made, however you could buy them on ebay or something like that. I wish the electric typewriter were being mass-produced like newer technology, and readily available at a low price. I haven’t actually used one, but they sound so wonderful! Nothing to do but write, write, write! Nothing like Youtube or Minecraft to distract you, just you, the keyboard, and the paper. I would also purchase a record player possibly, and play relaxing jazz music. I really like jazz.

As stated before, the electric typewriter technically isn’t obsolete. However, if it were to go obsolete, I don’t know what I’d do. I get along fine without it, but just knowing that I would not be able to get one would just be sad. I would be upset, but I would know that it isn’t important. And then I would go on tons of website saying, “BUYING TYPEWRITERS NAME YOUR PRICE!!!”
